Peggi Blu is currently
working on a new album "Shades of Blu" bringing all her musical
talents, from age three singing in church, to more recent touring in Germany
and successfully releasing a hit single in England, plus finding success
throughout Europe. Having performed as one of New York’s top background
singers working with such stars as Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Irene
Cara, The Crusaders, Smokey Robinson, Bob Dylan and others, Peggi landed
a record deal in 1980 with MCA from which the single "Dancing in
the Streets" reached #35 on Billboard’s dance music chart. She has
also co-starred in two Broadway musicals.Peggi’s biggest break was in 1986 winning "Star Search" Grand Champion Female Vocalist which led to a recording contract with Capitol Records and many TV appearances including "The Joan Rivers Show," "Entertainment Tonight," and "Good Morning America." She has added her talents to records by stars Quincy Jones, Luther Vandros, Tracy Chapman, Aaron Neville, David Foster, Burt Bacharach, Barbra Streisand, Gino Vanelli, Leonard Cohen and a host of others. |
